Baoji, Shaanxi found the "six dissimilarities", with a huge body and golden body, staring straight at people on the mountain

I don't know if you feel it? Over the years, the number of wild animals around us has gradually increased. For example, wild boars, which were once hard to see even in rural areas, are now frequently visiting major cities, and even breaking into communities, construction sites, streets, campuses, and even shopping malls , reaching the point of flooding in local areas, and related sightings have skyrocketed. In the past, we only needed to pay attention to snakes, insects and poisonous ants when going up the mountain, but now when we are going to some mountainous areas, we will be told to pay attention to the presence of wild beasts. All this shows that the ecology in many parts of our country is gradually improving, and wild animal populations are gradually recovering. The Qinling area is one of the areas with the highest biodiversity in my country, where countless "exotic animals" thrive. Relatively speaking, it is easier to witness some rare wild animals here. Recently, a traveler found a peculiar-looking wild animal on a hillside about 3,500 meters above sea level in Taibai Mountain in the northern foothills of Qinling Mountains and Baoji, Shaanxi Province. I saw that it was golden in color, huge in size, with obvious muscles on its body, and it looked like a cow and a sheep. It stood on the hillside and stared at people intently. This wild animal is the famous takin, together with the giant panda, crested ibis and golden monkey, known as the "Four Treasures of the Qinling Mountains", and is a national first-class protected animal.

Takin looks strange, nicknamed "six dislikes"

Takin is a bovid, takin, from the picture we also It can be known that the appearance of this animal is rather peculiar, and it seems to be different from most of the animals we have seen, but many parts of it have the characteristics of other animals. In fact, the takin has a nickname called "six dislikes", which is two more than the legendary mount "four dislikes" of Jiang Ziya. Its horns are like wildebeest, its face is like a horse, its back is like a brown bear, its hind limbs are like hyenas, its hoofs are like cow hooves, and its tail is like sheep's tail. The characteristics of these animals are combined together to form the unique appearance of takin. The takin is a "heavy" ungulate, its size is huge, and its stature looks strong. The adult bull can reach 400 kilograms, and some larger individuals can even reach 1 ton. With such a size, after the South China tiger disappeared in the wild, they have almost no natural enemies. There are four kinds of takin in my country, namely Gaoligong takin, Bhutan takin, Sichuan takin and Qinling takin. Different subspecies of takin also have differences in coat color. The further north the habitat, the lighter the coat. The takins in Qinling are the highest in appearance. The hair on their bodies is mostly yellow-white or golden-yellow. In the sun, they look golden, glittering and even beautiful. Because of this, only the Qinling takin is called "Huang Biao".

Takins have strong mobility and often move on cliffs and cliffs

Don't look at takins as they seem to be bulky, but in fact they are extremely flexible and extremely mobile. In the rocky area in the mountains, it can also be like walking on the ground. In many documentaries with takins appearing, we can see that they often appear on cliffs and cliffs, and their climbing ability is evident. Perhaps because of their own abilities, takins like to move on cliffs and cliffs on weekdays, feeding on the leaves of some plants, and licking rock salt to meet their own needs. They are typical alpine species, mostly found in alpine meadows and forests above 2,500 meters above sea level. When resting, they usually choose higher altitude alpine cliffs. Takins are relatively intelligent animals, and despite their large size, ferocious temperament, and horns that can fend off their enemies, they are still cautious in their daily lives. For example, when the takin group is feeding, there will be a strong individual standing at a high place to watch and take the responsibility of guarding. Once the enemy is found, it will issue a warning to remind other members. When the team needs to move, the head of the takin group and some strong bulls will walk at the front and rear of the team, taking the lead and the role of the line, while the female ox and the young ox will advance one by one in the middle of the team. Once the enemy is found, the takin group will rush forward under the leadership of the head cow, like a thousand troops crossing the border, unstoppable.

A single takin is more dangerous than a group of takin

The takin is very clustered, often a dozen or even hundreds A large herd of takins. However, there are also some bulls who like to act alone, and such bulls are called "single bulls". For humans, takin herds are relatively safe, and they rarely attack people actively. The Duoxu is very dangerous. They are extremely aggressive. Once they meet, they will be ruthlessly attacked by it if they are not careful. The takin found by the ALICE near the Dawen Gong Temple in Taibai Mountain this time is a single ox. It stares directly at people on the mountain, which means that it is not easy to mess with. However, the donkey friend's approach was also very wrong. Not only did he not leave as soon as possible, but instead he kept shouting at him and provoking him. Once the takin thought you were a threat, the consequences would be very serious. The takin is also known as the "number one beast" in the Qinling Mountains, because it has frequently hurt people in the past few years. In 2008, "Chengdu Business Daily" reported that in the past ten years, there have been more than 150 incidents of takin wounding, resulting in more than 20 deaths. According to the investigation and research on takin's injury incidents, it was found that the people who hurt people are basically single cattle. Although the takin has the inherent gentleness and honesty of a herbivore, don't be fooled by its appearance. In fact, the takin's fierceness is no less than that of tigers and leopards. We cannot "judging animals by their appearance". For example, on the African continent, the incidents of hippos and bison wounding people are no less than that of lions. In recent years, due to the lack of effective natural enemies and the improvement of the ecological environment, the population of takin has grown rapidly. In its habitat, although there are leopards, the size of leopards is not as good as that of tigers, and their strength is relatively weak, so they have limited restraint on takins. After the South China tiger disappeared in the wild, although part of the ecological niche was taken over by the leopard, the effect of the leopard on large animals such as takin was not obvious.
